Muhammad Akbar - Paragraph

When Humayun died, he was succeeded by his eldest son, Akbar (Abu'l-Fath Jalal-ud-din Muhammad Akbar, popularly known as Akbar). He was then only fourteen years old, and he had a very difficult position to face. But he overcome the problems one after another with the assistance and advice of Bairam Khan, his guardian. He marched boldly to meet Hemu at Panipath the same year of his ascending the throne. In the battle Hemu was wounded, taken prisoner and killed. After the battle Delhi was captured. The next, year Sikandar made his submission, while Adil Shah, the third of Akbar's rivals, was killed in a quarrel of his own in the same year. Thus in about two years, Akbar had overcome his more pressing difficulties. Still there were enemies all around him in Ajmer, Gualior and Jaunpur. But all these places were taken by 15960. He also conquered new kingdom year by year. Malwa was taken in 1561, Gujrat in 1572, Bengal in 1575, Kabul in 1585, Kashmir in 1587. Eight years after the conquest of Kashmir he conquered Sind, Kandahar and Orissa in the same year. Akbar's last years were very sad. He was greatly shocked when his first and favourite son Salim killed his principal secretary Abul Fazi. This incident sat heavily on him. He died in 1605.
