The name of my village is Luxmipur. It is situated in the district of Mymensingh. It is a nice village. There are four thousand people in our village. Most of the inhabitants in our village are farmers. There are also a few businessmen, carpenters, fishermen, potters, teachers and government employees. The people of our village are very simple. They are very hard working and painstaking. Most of the people in our village are Muslims. There are also some Hindus. In our village, There two primary schools, a high school, a madrasah and a college. There is river by the side of our village. On the bank of this river, there is a market. The daily necessaries like rice, vegetables, fish etc. are available in this market. The people from other villages also come here to buy and sell things. Our village this vast stretches of fields where various kinds of crops like rice, jute etc. are grown. Thus our village looks different in different seasons. There are also various kinds of trees in our village. They are palm trees, mango trees, jack fruit trees and so on. I love my village very much and I am proud of it.
